Abstract
Sediment transport, cooling circuits or combustion circuits are all situations in which multiphase flows occur. These flows are made of more than one component, solid or fluid (i.e gas or liquid). Modelizing such flows has been a scientific challenge for more than a century since they can be very complex. In this talk, I will quickly present the study of fluid mechanics, and the Navier-Stokes equations in particular. I will then present my research work, which consists in obtaining macroscopical, two-velocity models for two-phase flows. All of the above, without writing even one equation.
